Schedule reminder: No PFC this weekend (June 14) but we'll meet as usual the following Sunday, June 21.

Old equipment, new home? Do you have old fencing equipment that is in good shape but isn't being used any more? Maybe your young fencer keeps growing like a weed. Maybe you or your child took a class then decided that fencing wasn't for you after all. Bring your old gear -- except for gloves -- to the Primary School on Sunday, June 28, between 5:00 and 6:00, and I'll evaluate it for potential buy-back. Equipment should be clean and in good condition. I don't guarantee I'll buy it but I'll certainly look it over!

Fencers, if you're ready to replace some of your gear, feel free to come out at the same time. I'll give you first dibs on all equipment brought in for sale so you can buy it directly instead of going through me.

More fencing? IWFC will be meeting at Trinity Lutheran School's gym on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. starting Thursday, June 11. Remember, your PFC dues entitle you to participate in IWFC practices, too!

Fencing classes! The next set of Poquoson fencing classes will begin on July 12. See the summer Island Tide, page 10, for details! Please note that the equipment fee is $110 for male fencers but is $130 for female fencers due to required chest protection. As always, registration is done through PPR.

Fencing camps! Not quite sure about a complete fencing class? PPR is also offering fencing camps for ages 8-10 and 11-14 for those wanting a taste of the sport! Dates and times are on the PPR website and registration is done via PPR.

Two hour club sessions will continue to be in effect until the next set of classes begins on July 12. On July 12, we'll go back to one hour, 7:00 to 8:00, until the completion of the new intermediate class.

This club is an extension of the Isle of Wight Fencing Club and is made possible by Poquoson Parks and Recreation !  (Also by the letters Q and Z and the number pi.)
